I feel the same way. Why settle for something if you're not sure you want it? Although I've never been a big fan of change so it would be easier for me to say I'd rather stick it out at home and stay near everything and everyone I loved.
It just seems so weird when friendships don't work. It always baffles me too when friendships fade. Even friends I don't talk to that often I still feel like I'm close to them. I don't know, I still think I expect my best friends to act like they own that title, you know? Like they need to prove themselves worthy of it. If a friend was constantly ditching me for their significant other, on one hand I'd understand, but at the same time I'd expect some time to be made up to hang out with me. At least if I considered them a close friend and vice versa. You have to maintain friendships too, I think. If you neglect it, it fades away--just like a relationship.
I understand. I don't think it's fair to you to have to wait around for something you aren't really sure about. Maybe focusing less attention on it will somehow rekindle something. The world works in mysterious ways. My friend and I met someone in LA on our trip and my friend and him really hit it off. Funny thing is, his now ex just called it off 2 weeks ago. My friend had been feeling down lately too. It's like they needed each other as a simple boost of confidence, you know? I just love hearing those stories.
I'm really grateful to have you too =) You've helped me through a lot! It's amazing it's only been a year. I really do feel like we've known each other longer.
